This thing was literally plug and play.
My setup is as follows:

Upstairs: wireless router, internet via DSL,

downstairs entertainment center: TV, Dish Network HD DVR, blu Ray, Computer, and a spare router

I had tried to setup the spare router as a repeater and that didn't work.

When I got the Dish Network HD DVR, the guy gave me one of these for the upstairs, then plugged the DVR in the wall and the DVR magically had internet. So I bought a second one, plugged it in the wall, ran the internet cable to the router plugged everything else in and it worked without any issue at all.

I really want to express my joy in buying this product to go along with my Dish 722 system. I bought this in order to take advantage of the movies available through Dish's Blockbuster Movie Pass deal. I did not have hardwired internet available close to my receiver, so this seemed like a good alternative way to connect to my router. If it would work.....and it does:) Hook-up is very easy and quick. After I had it hooked up, my receiver seen that I had a connection and I went through the easy steps to finish the connection out. Shortly after that I was picking out my movies that I wanted streamed to my Dish list to watch at my convenience. This product actually works and works well....I am very happy with my purchase.

This is an excellent product. Received quickly and completely as advertised. A great way to extend household wiring instead of having to string ethernet wiring for internet purposes.
